Close: we can't have world peace because nutters think a prophecy must be fulfilled

If there is a god. my magic eternity in hell will be painful, but if there is no god, you people are screwing up so many peoples lives. Or lets say it is not an eternity, lets just leave it at an even trillion years of solid torture. If I live to be 70 that is over 30000 years for each second on earth. Did someone make up a fair and just god or what?

Disagree - the world has been and will continue to be whatever people make it. People who believe in prophets are one of the main obstacles to world peace because of their insane adherence to bogus so-called devine information.
If we abandoned all religion and so-called holy writ and just learned to love each other as fellow human beings we could achieve anything. But as long as religion continues to divide the masses we will never have peace because there is no nut quite like a religious nut.

Disagree, the basic reason is due to the battle of dark forces against those of the light. When the ole serpents head is cut of we will have perpetual peace.

Disagree. This is worrying because supposing someone agreed that prophesy was leading us all to armageddon, and that person was, say, leader of the most powerfully armed nation in the history of civilization...

I think if people want to believe in prophesy they should let its workings well alone.

Man is in control of his own destiny. No prophecy will dictate world peace. But, sadly man does not have the will nor the intelligence to overcome his folly with religion.

what prophesy? Revelations? That was about the fall of Rome. You're 1.5 millenia too late.

we will never have "world peace" because of human nature; we can have relative peace, once people agree to start respecting others.

We can't have world peace because Jesus clearly said there will be wars and rumors of wars until his return. So yeah, prophecy must be fulfilled

Prophecy doesn't control outcome it only states what man will
do all by himself, no help, no influence, all by his itty bitty self.
It's amazing how man spits in the wind and blames the result
on the weather conditions
