They have millions of em. they are called face flies.(I'm not kidding) Besides , would you give any money to the cause, if the kids were smiling with peanut butter and jelly all over their face.

The face has many very sensitive nerve endings around the eyes, nose and mouth. When these are stimulated, it tickles the whole body in a way that could be considered pleasant unless it's too overwhelming, at which point it triggers what I call 'The Shoo-Fly Reflex," an irresistible urge to tweak the nose and shudder. I find I can 'coast' on that tickle by wiggling my toes, and then the sensation really becomes ecstatic. One person's irritation is another's free bliss? But I don't use flies. I use feathers or Mylar ribbons or narrow strips of paper. Try it and see!

I would think some protein would be consumed if they child ate the fly. I think the flies are offering themselves. Not sure though.

Or, maybe they crave the spotlight, and wait til right before the picture is taken, and they jump in. Not sure though.

I don't know. Why do those hungry kids have to wear shirts with fifteen holes in them and drink sewer water, while every other resident is shown living a comfortable lifestyle? That's a bit questionable to me...
