You are lucky. Nicotine is highly addictive for most people, but not some. My mother-in-law only smoked when she played cards, and my husband tried to start smoking BUT KEPT FORGETTING to smoke.
I stopped smoking for 3 years, smoked 1 cigarette as a joke and wound up craving cigarettes the next day like I never quit. It took me 5 years to find a way to quit again.
But, I don't care one way or another about alcohol - no buzz.

You are not hook up at all. I'm smoking for 35 years - I quit every addiction which I had in the past /I don't want to say it what it was/
but believe me this shiet is the worse. I fight for last few years and I can't do it. I'm breaking the promises , I cut in half to 10 cigarettes a day but I can't win. I don't give up - I must quit soon. I have enough. The habit started like some fashion, with friends, girls doesn't matter. But like after about 2 years become addictions.
If you see you are just buying for yourself to kill the time or be visible for others you are there. Is not feel like you have to do it, but this is very dangers moment to become addicted anyway.
Please don't do it - for your own good.
Never buy cigarettes for some relaxation or occasion and specially for reason of diet. You find out later the innocent habit get you to addiction but it will be too late.

I'd have to say that you are deceiving yourself honey. Smoking is about as addictive as heroin. I smoked for 15 yrs which isn't nearly as long as some! When I finally quit, it was because of our son. I never smoked in the house, not even in the winter. He came home from kindergarten in hysterics. They had shown the kids what a smoker's lungs look like & he was convinced that I was going to die!! Needless to say, after looking into that kids eyes , I just couldn't bring myself to light up again. It wasn't easy, but I had some prety good inspiration. Our son is 11 now & I have never picked up another cigarette.

I started when i was 15 and 30 years later I'm still doing it. I do believe the "companies" new the other side of smoking years ago but they wouldn't be as rich and infamous now if they had told the truth. STOP NOW. I couldn't even begin to add up the $$ and lost years because of it.

yes they are addicting. But not all people are addicted. you are not immune or delusional. Alcohol is addicting but some people who drink it in moderate amounts do not become alcoholics, it is the same with smoking cigarettes. Hope this helps

It's really addictive! Some say worse than Heroine. You just have different triggers to your addiction (that cause you to want to smoke). You probably don't smoke enough to go through withdrawls.

Delusional. I've been trying to quit smoking. It's harder than people think. Just ask any smoker.

My mom and dad quit when Dad had a heart attack. Dad had a doctor who did some good psychology on him ("You've haven't smoked for __ days now. Think about it." --turned around, walked away). Mom went to a hypnotist.
I double dare you to give up those things for good.

I am not a smoker, but I have heard from friends who
smoke, that 'nicotine' is highly addictive, more so
then cocaine, but I am guessing it is, if it is so hard to
quit, so I'd say you were 'delusional'
