Confirmation.
Acts 19:5-6, Acts 8:14-17, 2 Cor 1:21-22, Eph 1:13 Heb 6:2
You can not remove the mark of Baptism, or Confirmation. Confession is a lifetime process.
Talk with a priest about your return to the Faith.

Confirmed. You want to be "confirmed" - not conformed. Well - maybe you want to be conformed too - but the Catholic church only does confirmations. I don't think you have to start all over again. Ask the priest. I believe you will have to take classes and such. If you are married and you were not married in the Catholic church - then your marriage is not blessed by them - and technically - you'll have to confess sleping with him everytime you go to confession.

haha. Once your baptised its good forever. You dont need a "refresher or anything". A second baptism would not be valid. We as Catholics accept 1 baptism for the forgiveness of sins. Unless you got an official annulment from the church, you cannot remarry.
Talk to a preist and ask him what to do...If youve gotten an oficial annulment, then yes go ahead and recieve confirmation. But you must go to confession first.

The word is confirmation. If you've already been baptised, you don't need to have that done again. If you'd like to improve your marriage in the eyes of God, maybe you could encourage your husband to go to church with you on occassion as well.

yes you are still a Catholic - if you chose to be. by wanting to continue forward by making your confirmation - you are choosing to become what i like to call a practicing catholic. not know more about your first marriage i do have to say if you were married in any christian denomination, you were considered married in the eyes of God. it's a misunderstanding that can be easily rectified though if that is the case.
i would recommend finding a church in your area and speaking with one of the priests who can guide you along your path.
God bless you and yours!

You are a catholic. You have been baptised and have done communion. Yet, your lack of the sacrament confirmation and divorce is frowned by the church. In my opinion, you are a catholic because you have the two most important sacraments.

You are a Catholic if you practice your faith and I beleieve you do have to be confirmed but you don't have to start all over. You just have to pick up where you left off and your marriage has to be blessed by a priest for you to be confirmed. I think, anyway but you should probably consult a priest, he'd know more than I would.

It isn't that tough to get confirmed, you just have to take some classes. Just go to the closest Catholic Church and talk to the priest after mass.

I would ask your local priest and see what he thinks, having been away from the church for so long a Baptism might be in order, I don't know. A cousin of mine, her husband converted before they wed, and he started w/ a baptism, i don't know how it works for lapsed catholics though

Catholics know the Bible verse wherein Christ provides His apostles permission to forgive sins. we are able to in basic terms assume that He did this with the point that persons might confess to them. The passage is John 20:21–23. i've got even used the KJV to delight the enthusiasts: 21 Then pronounced Jesus to them returned, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, having pronounced that deliver I you. 22And while he had pronounced this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, receive ye the Holy Ghost: 23Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye hold, they are retained. it style of sounds like a incredibly sparkling directive. The responses at mass are written contained in this technique. i think of those you're conversing approximately are from the e book of Pslams and alter with each and every mass as we study distinctive pslams at each and every mass. Catholics know a sort of expenses, yet a particularly uncomplicated one is the Lord's Prayer additionally noted as the Our Father. each and every Eucharistic mass has the line "Take this and consume it. try this in reminiscence of me." Which replaced into what Jesus spoke to the disciples. you will locate the version between Catholics and protestants is that many protestants assist you to know the acceptable e book and verse and what they think of it capacity. Catholics won't continuously know the place it incredibly is interior the Bible, yet they assist you to know ways they act it out at mass. the main factors of Catholicism could be found interior the Apostles Creed or Nicene creed! i've got long gone on too a lot already nevertheless! sturdy good fortune on your journey!
