Brent me and you both know that this is a joke match up Roy Jones Jr was probably best P4P for the last 10 years before Tarver and Johnson I wont even speak the other boxers name in the same sentance as Roy Jones.
Ribafish i will check out his next fight but i still think putting Adamek in a dream match up with Roy Jones is a bit of a joke, Adamek has fought absolutely nobody and Jones has been in the ring with greats like Hopkins, McCallum and Toney. Maybe this question should be posted again in 5 years or so, when Adamek has had some kind of career.

Hey Brent, like I already said, I think that this would have been an awesome match up and I stand by that statement. Don't get me wrong, Roy Jr. is a legend, in my opinion the best boxer of the last decade or so and at his prime he was truly an incredible force, almost impossible to deal with.
But Tomasz Adamek is a tremendous fighter too. He is very tall (for a light heavyweight), fast, explosive, his technique is absolutely perfect and he's got a lot of knock out power as well. In my opinion he is the best lhw boxer today and there isn't really anyone out there that could beat him at the moment; not Johnson, certainly not Tarver and not even Roy Jr. He doesn't have Roy's experience yet, but regardless of that, this would have been an outstanding, extremely competitive match up. I suppose that I would have Jones at his best as maybe a slight favorite here, but very very close non the less. I think that I stated this in one of your questions before - in my opinion there is no man in this sport that could easily beat and outbox Tomasz Adamek. He just seems way too skilled, technical and basically too good to allow something like that to happen.
p.s.
Frank D, I've read some of your answers and it's obvious that you know quite a lot about boxing. But you need to have a reality check on this one man and fast. Tomasz Adamek is no joke. Make absolutely no mistake about that.

In roy's prime I think that he was unbeatable. Roy might not knock adamek out, but I think the scorecards would reflect roy's dominance. Roy would have to want the "win" more than the paycheck, though. You can't just run around doing the popeye windups and the chicken dancing in front of a guy like adamek. When I think about this fight I think it would look similar to the roy jones vs david telesco fight at radio city music hall about six years ago. Now that this question is over, I want ribafish and frank d to shake hands! It's all good guys!

I saw Adamek's last fight, I wasn't that impressed by anything other than his heart. He is easy to hit, and against Roy Jones, Jr, in his prime, I think Adamek has a real hard time finding Roy to hit him. I also think that Roy fires off his trademark flurries & combos with devastating effectiveness, and since Adamek also seems to cut easily, I see Roy winning by the 7th or 8th round due to cuts.

Roy Jones all time favorites:
Dream Matches >
Roy Jones vs. Gerald McClellan before Gerald got hurt - only person who really put a hurtin' on Roy back in his amateur days
Roy Jones vs. Hopkins II (before Roy went on his losing streak, before he fought Ruiz)
Roy Jones vs. James Toney II (if JT was hungry and was in Great shape)
Roy Jones vs. Trinidad before Trinidad got knocked the "f" out by Hopkins.
Roy Jones vs. Calzaghe before Roy went on he went on his losing streak.
