Damage comes from bleaching or stripping your hair, not from dyeing it. The dye actually helps fill in the damaged areas along the hair length (temporarily) and makes your hair softer, fuller, silkier and more manageable. Dye deposits color and conditioners that actually do repair your hair for a short time. Damage comes in stripping or bleaching away old hair colors, but again, that damage can be repaired somewhat by the new "toning" color placed on the hair after it is bleached.

are you coloring it professionaly or yourself?drug store hair dye is extreamly bad for your hair and you can do alot of damage if not done properly. Salon color has a lot more natural ingredients in it to protect the hair from damage. thats why is so much more money to buy. some beauty supply stores carry good color but you usually need a license to buy it.

Put it both ways good because it will give you a certain look and style, bad if your using it too much. If your hair is thin this could give you some volume.

its bad since it has so many chemicals. If you've never dyed ur hair try using henna it'll give it shine plus burgundy highlights.

If you're dying your hair darker then it can add shine to your hair... if you're dying it lighter, then it can damage it

it depends upon whether you are using a product that strips your hair of its properties or a product that adds to your hair.
