It is a possiblity & caution should always be exercised.

Also it could be wolves in sheeps clothing. Wolves represent false prophets & their false doctrines.

Are they harrassing you or your family almost everyday that you lose privacy? No, they are not hustler actually as long as they don't ask money from you using the name of the Church that they serve, then you have all the right in the world to tell them they are bothering you without being rude. Goodluck!

Hang a sign on your door:

"No Solicitation.

At this home, we do not accept visitors for the purposes of selling books, items, or information for any reason. Violation of this request may result in a call to the police to resolve the matter, and if further steps are needed at that time, they will be taken."

Point to it when they come to your door and let them read it. Tell them have a nice day, please let others in their organization know that your home is off limits, and thank them for their time. Then... close the door.

Good luck!

No, they're not.

They might eventually ask for your money if you go to their church, but they don't steal it. Willful giving can in no way be considered theft.

And if, by chance, some of these people do, in fact, turn out to be thiefs who rob your house, you have some protection under the laws of the U.S.

Your paranoia and unkind prejudgment is quite the inspiration, however.

Yeah and just think, if you let them in they can case the joint and come back later to get the valuables to pawn for some really dumb looking statue or something equally lame.

Hmmm.

No, I don't believe that's the way I'd put it. They're just people trying to share something they believe.
