Do not.

I do not want to concede a victory to terrorists. We can eventually withdraw a majority of our troops, but only when Iraq is positioned to handle their own security.

Even then, I think Iraq would be a strategic location for an American military installation to keep an eye on oil shipping channels, keep Iran in check, and generally have a presence in the middle east.

You can't just ask this as a simple "yes or no" question. Yes I would like our troops to be pulled out of Iraq and the war be over, but its not that easy. No I do not want them pulled out right now. Once Iraq has a military that can stand on its own two feet we will pull out, but it is not time yet.

I picked up the Ann Arbor News today and learned that another young man was killed in Iraq. He graduated from high school in 2003. The same year my son graduated. This brave soldier was just a kid still! We need to GET OUT OF IRAQ NOW! We no longer have a reason to be there. We should all be shouting from the rooftops to bring our troops home!!!

My husband has been deployed so obviously I am going to say yes, bring them home. I feel like this war has raged on forever... I want our troops to come home for the simple fact that I don't feel that we are even making an impact on anything over there. The only thing happening is troops dying for no reason. This war has gone on too long and we have nothing to show for it. They don't want us there PERIOD! Let them handle their own problems, it is not America's job to micro-manage other countries.

The war was started for the wrong reason: Weapons of Mass Destruction. ENOUGH !!!

Allow them to become a steady government by guiding them without hidden agendas. Mohsen Abdel-Hamid who is the current President does not want to be seen as a puppet of the White House.

They eventually have to be allowed to learn on their own: growing pains.

Iraq may not want to leave out Islam out of their way of life. Saddam Hussein used Islam only to stay in power,so the Iraqi's were not allowed religious freedoms.

The "Civil War" has to do if it will be Sunni or Shiites that will govern. I have written one possible explanation.

Iraq, formerly Mesopotamia,is a lot older than the USA and changing their culture will not bee easy.

Some Iraqi's will feel that the Americans do not respect their heritage and way of thinking so they see us as trying to Americanize them.

A lot of Americans may have forgotten that the USA is a Democratic-Republic.

Of course we want our troops to come home, but leaving before order, government was installed (as we did in Iran and left the people twisting in the wind) (see movie "3 Kings") would be detremental the world over. so we must stay the course.

Everyone wants them out of Iraq, but should they be taken out of Iraq? That is an entirely different question

I want our troops pulled out. The longer we stay the more enemies we make. I support the troops but deplore the war. We have no reason for being there.(Oil?). Well we are leaving behind a lot of blood. I have a child there.

Yeah I do, but even if a Democrat wins the presidency in Nov 2008 we're gonna stay there because........................
We've built a bunch of military bases in Iraq and neither Dems nor Repubs will want to give that up!

I think we should either send enough troops in to do the job right or get them out. Right now there are only enough troops there to get killed.
