I'll tell you what...as a man to a woman, you need to stop giving the guys all of the power. It sounds like you are maybe too passive and that caused your ex to become disinterested and start looking at other girls. Take control of your self...Maybe the problem is not you, maybe your ex is just a cheater or a serial dater. Did you guys have sex right away? If you did, then maybe your relationship was just all about the sex...think about and you will find the right way to allow new guys into your life. i hope this helps.

just because your ex broke your heart doesn't mean that every guy is going to do the same... if you really like this guy then take a chance and just take it slow in the relationship so that you can really enjoy it and see if this guy really likes you...

If you would stop being your boyfriend's doormat, and quit allowing yourself to be treated so badly , you wouldn't be worrying about how the next moron is going to treat you. If you continue to date the type of guys that treat you like crap, and you refuse to date a better class of men who will appreciate and respect you...... then you deserve what you get.

It's natural to be afraid. Just take it slow. You don't need to commit yourself to this guy immediately, do you? Just get to know him, and then see how it goes from there.

haven't you ever heard of rebound relationships?

you need to date somebody else as soon as possible to take your mind off. When you fall off a horse you need to get right back on before the fear and pain sets in.

don't blame the new guy for what the old guy did. would you like that if someone did that to you... very unfair
