Contrary to what one person said, stars walk around New York without hiding. New Yorkers have no interest in bothering celebrities. I saw Benjamin Bratt at the movies. Uma Thurman shopping near NYU. David Ducovny in Central Park. Sarah Jessica Parker and Mathew Broderick walking up Sixth Avenue near 57th St. Richard Belzer walking on the West Side near Lincoln Center.
If you need to see a star check the theater listings for famous people in plays and musicals and then wait by the stage door. They usually come out after the show to sign autographs. People also hang out near the stage door for Late Night with David Letterman which is in the theater district.

Too bad you are coming so soon... Great way to ensure seeing the celebs: get free tickets to a talk show - It is pretty easy but not very accesible for someone coming next week. You can show up the day of a show and get on a waiting list. I know David Letterman does that... and his show is at 5 or 6 oclock in the evening - when the show let's out, the star's meet their limo's on the side of the building. There is usually a mob of people waiting to get an autograph! Conan O'Brien is a great show to see... The View gives away free tickets... Lots of options.

Greenwich Village has pubs and eateries. It's the artsy part of town. Some of these pubs are places that stars dine. Which ones??? It's been a while since I've been to NYC. I think Greenwich Village is near Washington Park and the city college. My map shows it at Avenue of the Americas and Ninth St.

This site will take you to the hang out of some stars in New York. You may want to just be outside to see them or go on inside. Some places you have to have a reservation.

Why not focus on living an interesting llife and accomplishing something of value yourself, rather than seeing some pretty face who happened to know people? Celebrities are just people with far too much luck, money, looks, and connections. Usually a combination of the four. So the hell what?

There are how many million people in NYC? Focus on being a tourist and if you see a celebrity, great! More than likely, unless you are in some fancy nightclub, you won't see any.

I simply bought a pleasant pair of antique pleather pants at Goodwill! They had been $15.00 and so they seem cooler than some thing you might get new for 20X that cost. Vintage is continually methods to move! Ebay is my different move-to quit for the whole lot like that.
