i go to college with an ex of mine. we were each others first loves in highschool but back then i was young and stupid and cheater on her more than once. now its a few years later and those feelings are back...me for sure and i know she has a soft spot for me. we both have a longterm boyfriend/girlfriend but it has sort of come up in conversation that these people are not the ones we will end up with... how do i get her to 1) ditch this guy 2) try to trust me again

i personally am not a big fan of cheaters. but if you want her back, you have to PROVE to her that you will never do it again. you can't get her to ditch this other guy. she has to find that out on her own. if you two are meant to be together then it'll happen.

I guess that you could sit down with her and tell her that you never really got over her, and that you compare all of your relationships with how you felt ,feel about her. Tell her that you learned alot about life and that you have really matured and 'grown up', and that you would like another chance with her to prove it. I hope that it works out for you--but you better be sure you mean what you say with her, and keep in mind, she just might not be willing to try. Good luck

Firstly, tell her when she is done with her present relation, that you would be interested in being with her, and doing it right this time. If you barge in while she is with another, this builds mistrust, not a good idea...then begin to build trust together by doing things right and be trustworthy...

dunno... but it wouldn't speak very well if you ditch the current to go back to her.

what does that say about you and how you treat committed relationships...

you run risk of sending the message that if someone else came along you could drop her as easily as the current; you did it before.

Let sleeping dogs lay, don't rush anything... who knows you might be back together by graduation and it be natural and not forcing breakup's to make it happen.

Patience and good luck!
