I didn't get any stitches after my wisdom teeth were removed. The mouth is actually the quickest part of the body to heal because it's internal and because the saliva is self-cleaning. Use boiled water with salt to rinse your mouth out every few hours. It's actually the best mouthwash after any kind of dental surgery and you will feel it throbbing and healing. There's bound to be some discomfort after having wisdom teeth removed, but I wouldn't bother going back to the dentist unless the pain got very severe and/or you can see a white film across the socket, as this would suggest infection. Just keep using the boiled, salty water and I'm sure you will be back to normal in a few days.

If the teeth were extracted without having to cut the gum, no stitches are required. The holes will close up on their own, but it will take some time.
Keep them clean with the syringe. It sounds like you're taking care of things. The pain is the body healing itself. As the tissue starts to grow back, and the bone fills in (in place of the missing tooth), things will ache a bit. Be patient. Take whatever medicine you would take for a headache or backache. That should help.
Good luck!

Multi-layered question here so:
1) It is often necessary to make a small cut in the gum over the wisdom tooth, and to remove some bone so that the tooth can be lifted out. Stitches are usually put in to help the gum heal. In my case, the two upper ones were sitched, the two lower ones were not. The cavity will gradually, over the next month, fill in with tissue but after two weeks, you should be fully operational (functional). However every surgical case is individual, no two mouths are alike.
2) Don't use a syringe (or at least call your dentist for his opinion). In doing so, you chance reopening the wound and removing the blood clot. It makes me especially wonder about your food intake. In theorgy, you ought to be eating soft (ex. mashed potatoes, rice pudding) foods. Generally speaking, they tend to be either sticky and clumpy or extremely crushable. EIther way, they should not leave any particles IF you swallow some water after each bit.
3) Since there should be a follow-up (±) one week after with the dentist, tell him and question him at that time.

Some do and some don't. Removing a tooth will generally leave a hole. Sutures are only supposed to place the tissue back where it belongs and this does not necessarily mean closing the hole with sutures.
Some techniques do not use stitches, even though there is a big hole. I don't agree with this technique, but thousands of surgeons are taught this way and use this with success.

you're nevertheless ok. The white patch could weren't something extra effective than the time-honored white coating that collects interior the mouth, in basic terms with the sutures it has places to adhere to which you will no longer actual do away with. The rinsing action in basic terms did it for you, it is all. it is likewise feasible it is common gum tissue that replaced right into somewhat dehydrated, and the warmth water further fluid it mandatory to crimson up somewhat. The suture textile is made to soak up, in spite of the indisputable fact that it does that type of otherwise for various people. it incredibly is meant to dissolve in water or fluid- and the interior the mouth is a incredibly damp spot. So counting on how a lot you have drank, you will possibly have in basic terms dissolved the splendid element. what's left under the floor continues to be there retaining issues mutually, and adequate therapeutic has long gone directly to hold you mutually. gentle bleeding isn't unusual in any respect this quickly after removing, and does no longer be all that unusual once you consume or rinse. as long as you're no longer having any discomfort or any significant bleeding, you are able to desire to do in basic terms superb. The sutures make it easier to sidestep what's noted as a dry socket, while the clot interior the bone is lost and the jawbone dehyrdrates. you are able to desire to nevertheless be secure against that incredibly, using fact the undersutures could be intact. in basic terms take care to maintain up the oral hygiene and persist with your after care training. in case you notice an soreness interior the jaw, below the extraction internet site, then you definitely might want the dentist to have a seem. For genuine now, you sound such as you're rather therapeutic nicely, speedy and somewhat earlier than the anticipated schedule. sturdy for you, and sturdy good fortune.

I had all 4 pulled at the same time. The dentist left my sockets open. You have to keep them thoroughly clean after every time you eat to prevent dry socket (infection). It hurts like heck and you will be back in the dentist's office for antibiotics if it gets infected. Don't worry, it will heal closed. You will have dull pain for a while but it will go away. See your dentist if it doesn't get better or gets worse.

Um, YEA
Youll still feel like you have holes in there though. If the pain gets like real bad, then go to the ER. If its just like youre saying here, then youre fine. Those holes take awhile to get to where they arnt so noticable.

not all Dr.s suture, not always needed.
just keep rinsing and rinse with warm salt water. do not spit, or drink from a straw.
Don't eat thinks that don't disolve quickly, like rice or popcorn.
Try to keep it clean and if pain develops, call him back and see what can be done. I should heal up in a week or two.

When I had my wisdom tooth pulled, the dentist said the holes close on their own. (Mine did).
Due to you having problems, I would go back to the dentist and get your holes fixed. What you're going through is not supposed to happen.
