if you are looking for something seasonal - like falling leaves - you can collect large fallen leaves, put them under some paper and have the kids rub them over with a crayon. this looks nice and make a good display.
if you just want general ideas, what about making butterflies by putting paint in the crease of a sheet of paper and folding it to squish the paint.
or make stamps by gluing macaroni shapes onto cardboard and have the kids use these to make some wrapping paper for christmas.

pumpkin or squash painting place paint on the paper and let the children roll the pumpkin or squash on the paper to make cool patterns

use colors like green, brown, orange, yellow paint or pudding to paint with. dont do them together though

use the above colors with large brushes on easels then cut to needed shapes (leaves, turkeys, cornacopias, etc)

try mixing some basic colors like red and yellow to make orange or others

try large crayons or markers on easel paper or on the floor with paper rolls

add leaves and other items to the block area

try some sculptures with leaves pipe cleaners, materials (felt, leather, flannel, cotton)

just remember if you have really young twos they tend to put lots of stuff in their mouths still, and think about using things like pudding paint, jello molds (even ice cube trays work) even cotton balls can become works of art.

Little foam pieces that are already sticky, usually can be found in seasonal colors. Can be purchased at any craft store. Give the children one whole sheet of fall colored foam and let them create their own fun picture. Let's them create using shapes and color.
