2 Thess. talks about a great apostasy, or falling away from the faith. However the book of Acts talks about a great revival. There will be an apostasy in the West, with Islam filling the void of Christianity in Europe, and a revival in the undevoloped countries. We can do missions in Europe, but I believe that many of their hearts are hardened to the gospel already. : (

Is it too late for us? There is still important Christian activity in Europe. It is still the home of the Pope and some of the most beautiful Christian themed art work in the world. But many of the western European Nations have struck a better balance than we have in the US. Ironic, since we are the birthplace of religious freedom for modern nation states. In Europe the Religious and Secular can co-exist without either group feeling threatened or marginalized. Here in the US religion has become the polarizing concept that it once was in Europe centuries ago

The Holy Spirit wakes itself up. Christianity is not going to back down on Europe or anybody else for that matter.

Here in the UK at least we are on the verge of revival. The Holy Spirit is very much awake here.

you have it wrong, i lived in germany for three years, you cannot make noise on a sunday because its a religious day, they dont work on any holidays and they have more then us. They are very religious people but they dont act like americans when it comes to living. They live life to the fulliest and arent afraid of being judged by others. They arent scared of nudity, they see so many things as normal where a lot of overly religious people would see as soo bad. I love germany its cleaner , and much safer then america. Prostitution is even legal there.

I know that church attendance is very low in Europe, around 10% now. I guess because the have free health care, they don't have to pray to Jesus as much for help now.

Too late? Its only just begun my friend. You should follow suit. Europe always was more forward thinking than the US, this is just another example.

Europe has moved beyond the need for religion and they're letting it die the graceful death it deserves. It's no longer needed.

Precisely, the "older" christian countries have simply grown up. They don't need that stuff any more. They're old enough now.
