When I was younger, I was prescribed Prozac for depression. At my peak, I was taking about 30-50mg a day. After a few months or so, I started smoking marijuana recreationally. I enjoyed the sensation I got from smoking it.

Eventually, I overcame my depression, and stopped taking Prozac. I only smoked marijuana once more after that, because it affected me differently. It made me obsessively and dangerously paranoid - enough to the point that I would scare myself to tears, and was unable to enjoy my high.

Could it have (coincidentally) been a bad batch?
Was it that the Prozac made it so I could enjoy a high?
Could my sudden abandonment of Prozac have made it so that marijuana affected me differently while my body was still putting all of my natural chemicals back in balance?

Was it something else?

I have sometimes experienced paranoia but very mildly. Its a common side effect of Marijuana. There are many different strains with different levels of THC (active ingredient in pot) but I have never experienced a "bad' batch. Maybe a more potent batch but none that would bring me to tears. My advise to you is to ask a doctor about Prozac and Marijuana and if they counter act with each other. In regards to pot, if its that bad for you, it doesnt sound like something you should do but over time as your tolerance builds it will not be as intense.

Marijuana doesn't react to other drugs. It's all natural, and perfectly safe. You can mix it with anything. I'm not personally on any prozac, but I know lots of other people who smoke pot and take anti depressants, and they are just fine.

marijuana is a downer it wont make you happy. It is good for overactive people to relax them, but Prozac is an upper so that is why you are feeling sad when you are smoking

Why are you worried? You're off the prozac AND the marijuana- whats the difference in why? Just be happy you're not using anything anymore.. don't ponder your good fortune.
