In the light of the Ted Haggard thing and the verse below, do you think right wing Christians should start worrying about their own sins and leave other people alone.
In Mathew 7, Jesus says,
3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. "

you seem to have missed the "remove the speck from your brother's eye" part
We are to have a handle on our own sins and to have a right heart and attitude - not calling someone else down for a sin we are still struggling with. But we are to be discerning and there are qualifications for leadership- and we are to confront sin- not 'leave it alone' or accept it.
In this particular case, unless I am ignorant of the recent news, we should not jump to quick judgements- last I heard there was not any conclusive evidence and no confessions- so until we know for sure what happened we should be in prayer for discernment, for truth to be revealed- and not make snap judgements or decisions about what happened without proof.
There seems to be hue confusion here regarding the difference between loving someone without tolerating their sin and allowing them to rot in their carnality- sorry but that is not love

See, the problem here is that Haggard is the one who had the plank in his eye, not his critics.
The religious debate for or against gay marriage is ridiculous. Didn't jesus state in the bible to love everyone?

Jesus never turned anyone away who tried to follow Him. He went to the low-lifes and spent time with the lepers. He constantly repeated we must forgive or we can't be forgiven.
Jesus would not do anything different - He would just love Mr Haggard in his sin. And forgive and bless and lift Ted up and wipe tears of shame from his eyes. Gays are loved by Jesus too and it's time for us to wake up to this fact. People are gay and God created no junk. Period. Always pull your brother from the fire if you can.
Jud 1:23 save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh

You are right! We shouldn't worry about other peoples sin, we should worry about our own!! We can't send anyone to heaven or Hell, and we sure can't save them!!!!! So we need to sweep around our on front door! Before we try to sweep around someone elses!!!

We are still to help others, especially Christians. We are commanded to in Matthew.
