People say that God sees all bad behavior the same or all sin the same, well for the ones that believe that why is it that you see child molestation or murder worse then a person having intercourse before marriage and why would you want these people punished when you believe that God forgives someone that asks for forgivness. So does that mean you have to pray to God for forgivness every time you hear about a rape or murder and you get more upset over that then you would hearing a person saying a curse word? If God sees all sin the same then arent you sinning by not seeing it as the same so how can you get into heaven if you are not seeing all sin as the same. I dont think God sees a person molesting a child the same as saying a curse word or intercourse before marriage, but whats your opinion?

if anyone seriously believes that a "swear word" is as bad as rape, murder or molestation, I'd call them a complete whack-job.

I wonder 'who' the 'PEOPLE' are that say God see all the sin as the same??? Is God on vacation and are these 'people' his replacements??

The question is stated as sin is sin whatever kind it is. I question the logic in this thought. How does one equate murder with cursing?

This requires more thought and research on the questioners part

Good luck and happy knowledge seeking.

There are different levels of sin.
Depending on the seriousness of the sin, you may just have to ask God for forgiveness, all the way to asking God for forgiveness and remorsefully willing to accept the earthly consequences for your actions.

The first thing I would ask you, how do you think we can get into heaven.

By being good

or

By what God has done.

No one deserves to go to heaven. saying one curse word is enough to condemn you to hell. So is it by being good, I don't think so.

Jesus said "he who hates his brother is a murderer".

Why would you murder someone, is it because your doing it for the sake of it, or is it because you hate that person.

Thats right hate someone is still murder because in your heart you want that person dead.

Hate=murder

Both sin, hate and murder are the same, they are egual.

So how do we enter heaven, the only is by Jesus because he died in your place. But if your reject him how can you be forgivin

Good point. I personally do not think all sin is the same. As a Catholic there are veniel and mortal sins and sins against the Holy Spirit. You raise a good point.

God is within. Every action good or bad, comes back in the form of an emotion that cannot be thought out of.

So everything that you and I do is being watched. It'll get you when you least expect it.

Time makes the fool of us all. What goes around comes round!! Always!!

We, as human, are bound to see in degrees...while God paid the ultimate price....sacrifice of His Son on the Cross, for the adulterer, the child molester and the thief...and to cover all sins....so He paid the same price for all....

If every type of sin cost you the ultimate cost you could pay...then it wouldn't matter to you about degrees...you would just know that it all cost the same price....all you had to give.

God the Father gave us everything He could give...He didn't have more children standing on the sidelines up there in heaven waiting to take Jesus' place when He was killed....but because Jesus was killed and rose again...now we are all kids of the Father's...and He loves us all...no matter how deep or trivial our sins are.

He paid the full price of admission for all of us into the family of God....so we can be the brothers and sisters of Christ. Now, we, in turn, can give our lives by showing His love to others.

It says in the Bible that he who forgives little loves little...but he who forgives much (or is forgiven of much) loves much. Those who are forgiven of little things may not be as grateful as the forgiven child molester who turns away from his sin and begins to walk in a different way...a way of good instead of evil. It is rare that they do turn from their sin, but when they do, the gratitude for forgiveness must be immense.

So, I see in degrees...there is something that is more disgusting to me about some sins than about others...but God sees that sin cost Him all....everything...and He hates all of it. I need to hate all of it too...especially when I see it in myself. I need to take the log out of my own eyes, so that I may see clearly to remove the splinter from my brother or sister's eye.

There is no categorizing of sin. However, some penalties are more aggravating than others. And some have more victims than others. However we have to repent of all of them.

just be the good person that you are and do not worry about that stuff. You will go to Heaven or just go to sleep when you die. I am certain that you will be taken care of if you are nice to other people.

according to christian teachings, I would have to agree with you. god is supposed to judge man, not man. I think that people get the roles of god and man reversed quite frequently.
