this is what happens to my cousin. When he would cough he does not cough up mucus, rathetr he coughs up these white, tiny balls of i don't no what. These things come from within his throat, and he says he tastes a bad odor all the time in the back of his mouth. I had no idea about his condition until he put on of the things that came up from his throat on the cap of my water bottle. I smelled it, and DAM!!!!!!!!!!that was BAD!!!!
what is this stuff that comes from the back of his thraot. It;s small and white, very small

no the things he coughs up are in the form of a soild, not liquid. Also he not in any pain, i.e no blood.

It sounds like your cousin has a condition called cryptic tonsils. Tonsils have deep groves and pits in them that debris get stuck in. It forms into like a soft, usually foul smelling, white plaque ball. This debris will dislodge and come out sometimes when you cough. If he has alot of trouble because of this condition, such as alot of sore throats or throat infections, they may take his tonsils out.....I am not a doctor yet but I hope I helped

Well if it doesnt hurt or anything it could possibly just be hardened pus, this is very common. He can reduce the problem by using a cotton swab and gargling with warm salt water.

It sounds like he has small 'pockets' in his oesophagus, this is not uncommon. When he eats, small particles of food get lodged in there and by the time they are coughed up they've been there a while and so smell pretty bad.

He could see his doctor for a referral to ENT.
