beg to differ ! our bodies to mostly made up of water and its what keep us living you can go without food, far longer then you can without water so if you was in a situation where you was starving and thirsty and you was offered food to eat ,and a drink you take them both one after the other
choose what you eat or drink water consuming water alkaline it for the better , same as if you was to take a slight over dose of something medics tell to drink plenty of water so i would say not true

I've tried that. If you eat something sweet and drink water after, your water's gonna taste really bitter. Strange but it happens. That's why i always take a mouthful of something salty after eating something sweet, before i drink water.

It's not a bad idea to brush your teeth after eating something sweet, however.
