How long is he going to be stationed there?
Can you go with him? It is in the States afterall.
This happens to alot of married Military.
some stay home because they don't want to move and they know that their spouse will be back in a year. but if it is for a longer period of time and you own a home you could rent it out and then rent a place where he is.
Is moving out of the Question?

Good Luck to you, i hope your dilemma gets resolved.

You will see him if he wants to see you. It is very cold in the winter. I was there for a few months and I don't think it went above about 10. You can enjoy some very interesting things in Chicago.

Are you saying that you are not joining him at Great Lakes, that you will not be living together while he is assigned there? Some thing smells with your marriage.

A school or RTC?

Either way, expect LONG days, and weekends spent getting ready for the next week. It's almost as bad as recruiting duty.

It depends what you want out of it. Being able to travel and see new things can be great. The down side is that he has to give alot to the military so you will have to give more to be supportive.
