How did you cook it? I have found that some ways of cooking it, it will look pink. If the internal temp was right, then it should be fine.

It is ok to be pink. There was a time when pork had to be cooked with no trace of pink to kill off the Trichnea parasite which could cause Trichinosis. However in the USA the way pigs a reaised now there is very little risk of that. Other countries maybe not but in the USA it's ok to eat it pink.

Hi yes you don't have to cook pork till its like shoe leather, I guess in the old days there was a chance you could get sick but i think that pork today does not get you sick , I believe that they give the pigs some kind of diet that prevents that now

I have always heard that pork should be cooked thoroughly. No pink at all, cooked all the way through.

I grew up being taught that pork should be always eaten 'well done'. However, I do know people who eat their pork pink in the middle and they don't seem to be getting sick about it.

Yes you can get sick from eating undercooked pork. But I am sure you will be okay, by eating such a lil bit. You can get sick from undercooked pork and chicken, beef and fish are suppose to be okay undercooked, but, have you followed all the beef recalls and the tainted fish our grocery stores carry from china. To ensure you eat safe meat, it is best to know your meat source, where your dinner actually came from. Do your research on meat, poultry, ect you made be saddly surprised where our food comes from. Have you seen the movie Fast Food Nation? Rent it.

You really need to use a meat thermometer to make sure the pork is at least 165 degrees at the thickest point. Better safe than sorry.

If it was fully pink on the inside, not good. If it was cooked, where the meat had a slight cream-pinkish, it's fine.

In a fine dining restaurant in my area, the server ask how you would like it cooked. i was told medium to medium well is now acceptable. i believe it is all in the internal temp. that is harmful.
