Be supportive and be a good example.

It would be good if the mother was able to come to terms with her sons decisions, for his life's goals and told her son that she loves him and supports in him whatever it is he desires to do. The mother may not agree with the sons decisions, but in the scheme of things, does it really matter if she does not agree with it? All that should really matter is that they are a happy family.
Hope that this helps!

all you really can do is be there for him and let him know you are there if he needs you for any reason at all. Even if you dont agree with the decisions that he is making at the time, you still need to support him in making HIS OWN decision. Parenting can be hard at times (Lord knows I have my fair share of it) but you just have to hang in there and let him know you love him and you will stand behind him no matter what choices he makes in life.

As long as he knows you have always been there, all you have to be is YOU! Mom's are special, especially when our children have to make decisions. They will always want to know what Mom thinks. Whatever the decision is, be sure you have done your homework with as much knowledge as you can give him. That's all he wants to know is that you care enough about him to give the best advice you can. The main thing is not to tell him what to do, but allow him to tell you what he wants to do and then advise, but allow him to make his own decision. He will appreciate you, and you will make him feel more like a man that is responsible, and one you trust.

Just support his decisions...keep your personal feelings and judgments to yourself for the most part, unless he asks your opinion. Just love him by going along with his choices. Pray he makes good choices. Hopefully he will be guided by things you've taught him in the past as he grew up.

say this to him, ...

Something Specially
For You

I said a prayer for you today
And know God must have heard-
I felt the answer in my heart
Although He spoke no word!
I didn't ask for wealth or fame
(I knew you wouldn't mind)-
I asked Him to send you treasures
Of a far more lasting kind!
I asked that He'd be near you
At the start of each new day
To grant you health and blessings
And my friendship to share your way
I asked for happiness for you
In all things great and small-
But it was for His loving care
I prayed the most of all.

the same way you loved and encouraged him as he took his first steps, rode his bike, graduates from school. If you encouraged him as a child then as he faces obstacles later, he'll hear your voice saying " way to go! good job!"
