I have had to walk away and let them suffer the consequences of their actions but I have always been there waiting for them to straighten out their lives and get back on track.

I don't think I could completely turn my back on my own children no matter the age or the circumstances. You will always love them for who they are, just not for who they've become, but it doesn't mean deep down inside that you still don't love them. My brother right now is putting my parents through a hard time right now. He had a very good childhood and even into his early adult years. He met a girl (now his wife of 1 month) and he pretty much doesn't acknowledge my parents and only lives like 2min. away from them. It's very hard for my parents because they know they did the best they can, but they know he is going through something right now. My other brother did the same thing pretty much and he's finally around and himself again after 5yrs of being "someone different". So no, don't ever turn your back on your children.

Something my parents taught and i listened and learnt from it.After 18 you are our own responsibility so whatever happens then is your fault.Your children leave home and get lives of there own leaving you if on your own to live by yourself and it is difficult to move on when you are older, but when you are older and a couple you are able to spend time together and fall in love again and do things you couldnt when you had children.Hope this makes sense

Yes. Every relationship is built on trust. When trust issues have been broken to the point that you can no long, under any circumstances, trust someone, even if it's your own child, then you have to turn and walk away.

really depends on what the circumstances were but i dont think so. unless they were really evil. i mean there are times when its best to let your children see how what they have done can effect people but before you let them see that yo needed some space it is your responsibility as a parent to explain to them how what they have done is wrong and what consequesnces it has and how it has made you and others feel. you cant turn your back wihout explanation and they should be allowed to earn your respect back if they are remorsful and realize their wrong doings. but, its the parents responsibility to help their children evenin their adult years realize what is right and wrong and how it effects people.

I say you have to let them learn from their mistake and just guide them along the way. But if you turn your back on them, later on in life they will be the same set you will need when something happens to you, and they might turn their backs on you.

Doubtful, but I am not a mother so I am not sure.
I think to some degree I would always still remember the sweet wonderful child from the past, and no matter what I would still love them. But then who knows it would be a tough thing to do either way I think.

Regards off age they are still your children, whether adults or not!!! But, the are limits to everything. It depends on the situation. If its for illegal activity then yes, or wise no.

I could never just forget them. Sometimes you do have to let go and let them face life's problems head-on and learn from their own mistakes, but to just walk away and turn your back on them.......never
