But, "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord." 2 Corinthians 10:17
but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD. Jeremiah 9:24
I would hope Christian believers rely on their faith and stand firmly on the word of the God. The Lord made these laws and commandments, where do mere humans think they know better than the Creator himself? We were given a sense of free choice and able to discern right from wrong.
All of mankind's good and bad decisions will be displayed before the throne of God at the Judgment day. Every sin that goes against God will judged according to his laws and will.
The pro-choice and pro-gay marriage supporters will enter the pits of hell, because both deeds are sinful in the eyes of God.
God does not change, whatever he considers to be sin will always be.

I don't think of myself as morally superior. That is the description of a condescending attitude. I would consider myself a sinner saved by grace, who doesn't make sin a habit.
What I do know is that as a Christian I follow God's Word. We all know what it says about any type of sin - including murder and homosexuality. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
Thanks be to Jesus who shed His precious blood on the cross for my sins and yours. Thereby making the Way of salvation for each of us.
I have compassion on those who are not saved or are wandering far away from God's commandments and precepts for life. Not an attitude of moral superiority, just concern for eternal salvation for all.

Christians are given the gift of holiness , as for morality they would be considered morally more acceptable to pro choice and pro gay, becuase if the choice is sinful and you also beleive that gay is ok, then you become wrong in your choice. God gave the christian the heart to beleive in the right belief. Man can not save himself, that is a gift of faith from God.

No...we are all trying to find our way through a complicated morass of issues...I am a Christian with a gay son...and all I know is that God calls me to love...without conditions....and I do that to the best of my ability. I know that I love my child...and that he is a wonderful, beautiful and amazing person. He is one of the most spiritual people that I could ever hope to know. I know that God is crazy about him...just like God is crazy about all of us. It is just that as human beings...we do not understand one another that well...
As far as abortion is concerned....would I want to face birthing a child and bringing them up alone from a rape situaltion or from incest? It is quite different to walk in someone's shoes than to look at them from the outside.
I am an incest survivor...and I did not get the chance to raise a child from my father, as he arranged the abortion himself...and that leaves me with issues also.
Things are not black and white...there are shades of gray...no matter who we are or what we believe. Moral superiority is for those who have not had a difficult life, and so, having nothing better to do, they judge those who have had a difficult life, instead of trying to help them.
Those are the ones who were Pharisees and Sadducees in Jesus' day....too proud of themselves to roll up their sleeves and help those less fortunate and shutting people out of the Kingdom of God with their judgementalism....and Jesus called them snakes....and those types still are in that same category today, in my opinion.

Since they view people willingly involved in abortion rights and homosexuality as sinners, I can't see how they wouldn't consider themselves morally superior.
But in their defense, most athiests I know consider themselves superior in most ways to religious folks.
It's just human nature to fear people who are different. Especially if they challange your closely held beleifs.

I am a believer (not Christian), but I'm also pro-choice anything. The way I look at things - as long as you're not harming ANYONE (including yourself) in the process, do what you will.
I don't consider myself superior to anyone. We're all just human beings.

Some do, for sure.
But for most of us, that would be like the pot calling the kettle black. You see, it's not how good I am as compared with you, it's how good I am as compared with perfection.
And believe me, I'm just dirty as you or anyone else is when I make that comparison.

Of course they do. As long as they can sneer at the supposed sins of others and trying to pass laws against them, they don't have to spend much effort examining their own sins.

Are democrats "pro-gay marriage"? They aren't, they are for freedom of the individual, not the same thing.
