Hello! I bought the Sony 50 Inch Wega and even connected to an HDTV Box and looking at HDTV channels, it still doesn't look very clear. I have the Cable Box connected using Component Cables so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas or sites in which I could go to for assistance. Thank you very much.

- make sure your box is outputting a signal at HD resolutions (720p or 1080i).
- some LCD projection TV's (I don't know if your set falls under this) sometimes need their thingamajigs (yeah, that's the technical term... :) ) realigned--when out of alignment, the images might look fuzzy.

Sony generally makes better HDTVs, but at the 32" level, you really aren't going to notice a difference between Sony and Vizio picture quality. If you ever decide to go bigger (48"+), then you should definitely go with Sony, but I would save your money and get the Vizio at this price point. Also, don't bother spending more on a 1080p 32" TV; the human eye cannot distinguish the difference between 720p and 1080p until you get up to about 50".

do you have an hdmi cable output on the box and an hdmi cable input on the TV? If so try that hookup, much better. Walmart has the HDMI cables starting at around $31. HDMI is high definition media interface.
