Heck no! I took it years ago when was 18 but had already had my license from 15 which was the starting age in Louisiana then. Biggest reason I took it was the reason that it knocked big bucks off my car insurance. Particularly at your age it can make a big difference, and that continues for some years. The price of the course pales in comparison to what you will save on insurance and even get some tips from the course. Besides there will most likely be folks much older than you there as well.

Hey! I'm so proud of you. I think its great you are taking Driver's Ed. I go back every two years for a Defensive driving course, just to brush up on my driving skills. I believe that as many cars as there is on the highways today, it should be made mandatory to either take Driver's Ed or Defensive driving, after we have been driving a certain amount of years. Good luck to you.

Not at all!! You will gain the knowledge to be a defensive driver, and those who use a driving school pass the test 90% of the time. I recommend it and I think that it is admirable you would take the class.

It's more embarrassing to drive poorly or to get in an accident. Go to driver ed, it's a lot of fun!! Plus they show greusome films like "Red Asphalt" :-) There's no shame in driver's ed at 20, in Europe you can't get your license until you are 21, but you can drink at 16!

I should say not! I'm more than twice that age and I haven't learned to drive yet! I never wanted to learn, but one day I might have to if we move to a rural area. I'll probably be 60 by the time I take driver's ed!!!

while you're pertaining to the WRITTEN area, thats what your state's drivers license handbook is for. no want for training for that area. in basic terms study it, and take the quiz interior. all of them have this i'm effective. call your community drivers license place of work to be sure in the event that they have the handbook on line additionally.
