After they die, their soul goes either to Heaven or Hell.
Ezekiel 18:4
Behold, all souls are mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is mine: the soul who sins shall die.
-It is through Jesus Christ that you are saved- the only way to heaven is through Him For he is the only way, truth and life- and nobody comes to the Father but through Him -John 14:6
Revelation 20 says that those whose names are not written in the book of life are cast into the lake of fire ( which is hell)
Those who put their trust in Jesus Christ are born again and set free from bondage of sin- given everlasting life in Heaven. John 3:3 says "Unless you are born again you cannot see the kingdom of God"
Those who are saved in Christ will be in the book of life. Those who are not- who reject Him while alive on earth will be cast out.
I believe in Jesus Christ that he died on the cross for my sins and rose again, defeating death as the Bible says- And that he now lives forevermore- He lives in me! I am eternally greatful to Him- and I dont deserve heaven, yet out of His grace- he has chosen me for his kingdom. What an awesome thing he did too- by dying and taking our punishment, because we are the sinners- we have all sinned against God as Romans 3 says. According to God's standards....and that is how we will be judged. So after death- one's soul either goes to Heaven, or Hell.

Existence is made from energy bits
called "quarks."
People are also made from "quarks."
Evidence is mounting that quarks
exist in two stages. Particle and
Quantum.
Particle, is when electrons spin fast
enough for the atoms to solidify. The quarks
circle the genetic frequencies to which they
format. As this matter forms, it produces
the time and space. As matter collapses,
time and space disappear.
Quantum is a collapsed form of energy,
such as black hole energy. As we near a
black hole, time slows down.
Creation forms when these quarks
explode and interface with forces we
know as Laws Of Physics.
Two years ago, some Upton, NY
scientists proved that "quarks"
retain their properties, even when
they emerge from a black hole.
This certainly does open a tomorrow
of exciting possibilities. No longer is
the earth flat. Nor, are we going to fall
off the edge.

I don't believe there is any possible way for any living person to know this information or to know if it is the same for everyone.
Your body rots but I think (hope) that a part of you does go somewhere else. I do not associate this other place with any religion or god whatsoever.
(I have never been religious, never been to church or taken part in any religious activities other than opening gifts on X-mas and coloring eggs on Easter. I was not baptized but my parents had been brought up Catholic and they did expect me to believe in God and Jesus)

To quote Benjamin Franklin, "I cannot suspect the annihilation of souls...I believe I shall in some shape of form, always exist"
Their is no deistic explanation of the afterlife but I myself believe that I will exist, maybe not in the same way but still continue to exist. The only real way to know would be to off myself but I'd really rather not.

when we die we are met by loved ones and spirit guides who help us home to our next life
where we reside in a level of spirit world according to our actions in this life
we can progress through these realms though
until ultimately joining back with the God energy
where we came from initially xx

They rot, if they haven't already been cremated.
There was nothing before birth, why should there be anything after death? Doesn't make sense, and there's no evidence for anything beyond this life.

What happens when you physically die is that your body returns to the elements in which it came from. That's it, that's all.
