Oh my gosh! My roommate is crazy on Benadryl! She says really silly things and doesn't remember it at all after she wakes up. It effects me in the opposite way though. I get really cranky when I'm on it. So yeah, Benedryl messes you up.

Benadryl makes your sleepy because of its active ingredient. The sleepiness is what makes you seem high/drunkish. As with all medications it affects people differently.

Benadryl is an antihistamine. It can make people feel 'groggy' or simply dead tired. If you are getting that kind of reaction from taking it, I would suggest contacting your doctor of pharmacist. I do not think that it is completly normal to not realize what is going on around you.

Yes it is normal. Don't drive when you take Benadryl. You can get into an accident and get a dui!

Some people are THAT sensitive to medication.
Me, for instance, A loratab and two benadryl barely phase me, whereas it may knock another person on their butt.
Just varying levels of drug tolerance.

It's probably the drowsiness. It's usually a side effect w/ benadryl.

They were not technically required at my institution, however what is the option? Sit on my own within the exchanging room at the same time the entire different ladies pass to bathe? That's the form of behaviour that results in you getting a nickname regarding the phrase Stinky.

yes it will do that to you especially at high doses, this is why some people abuse benadryl and other allergy/cough medecines.
