Why is it that when an American voices their oppinion against illegal immigration we are automatically called racist? I personally know many Americans who have become citizens or legal residents and they too are against illegal immigration, so why, as a "white" American, am I labeled so negatively?
Now, please answer this. Why is it that other people from other countries and other nationalities can boldy, blatantly march in our streets and demand rights and do vile things to our countries flag, yet they are not "racist"? Why is a double standard allowed on this issue?

You know maybe I'm different. The race card has no effect on me.Its simply to detract you from stating your point of view.I don't care what anyone calls me .I know who I am.I know whats in my heart. So call me anything your heart desires.I will still be anti illegal alien,I will still support the Border Patrol and the Minute Men,I will still be against amnesty. And I will still be very proud to be a native born American that loves her country.Words are not bullets they can not hurt you unless you enable them by reacting to them.Words hold no mysterious power over what kind of person I am or how I'm going to react to something some one labels me with.
I am a woman that is very secure in my views and my outlook on life.

1. It's true most illegal immigrants in America are Mexican/South American, but many legal citizens in America are Hispanic as well, and nobody should have to prove they are citizens on demand from police. We're not living in a totalitarian dictatorship. 2. Yes it is, so what? I'm not a huge fan of it either, but it's certainly nothing like the AZ Immigration law. 3. Not sure what generality you're talking about, but I certainly don't accuse people of being racist simply based on their group membership, unless that group is an avowed racist group. 4. Yes I would, there are racists of every color. So basically the only relevant point you made is in 1. and the rest was irrelevant.

We are trying to keep our country safe and free. And that makes us racist. We try to help people around the world and try to make life better for them. But that doesnt make it right for them to sneak in to USA and rob an steal not pay taxes the leagal way or live 20 to a apartment. America only works when everyone pulls their weight. I have been waitin along time unemployment is at a low and more people working here leagaly. But we dont need all the illeagls and gypsies taxing our healthcare and education to a point where our own children are not learning like they should. We are hurting our children bringing them down a level just to try and let the imagrant children learn at a slow er rate. Our children deserve no distractions so they can learn. That why we are racists cause we want to do well in life.

It was popular in the 60's. Drop the word racist and there was a 100 politicians and a 100 government agencies rushing around and bending over backwards to placate the accuser. It worked for a little while until people got tired of hearing it.
I remember when "White" Christmas was referred to as racist. Didn't have much support because obviously it referred to the color of snow, but the accusation was made nonetheless. It became overused by those seeking special circumstance without warrant.

I don't know, I think everyone should be able to voice their opinion.
I have different feelings about illegal immigrants. But, some Mexican burned my Granny's flag! She's sick (in bed) and she's really old. I hate that man! ALSO, this speeding driver (Mexican) ran over this cat! He was going at least 120 mph!

It is common to make things out to be about something else. Then, you can be dismissed becuase you disagree with the other person's point of view.

BTW, I think the Pledge of Allegiance should be changed back to its original form (without mention of God) or not said in a classroom. Schools are arms of the government, and church and state are supposed to be separate. At the same time, I think illegal immigrants should be sent back to their countries of origin. The fact they are illegal shows me that they care little for the US laws. I can understand the motivations. But, if you break laws, there should be some consequences.

I suspect that one reason is that so many white people allow and encourage it. Some of them come from racist backgrounds and fall for all the lines that minorities and illegals use to make them feel ashamed. They take the blame that is heaped upon them and turn against their own people to prove that they are not racist. It is a good technique to divide us, white people from each other---and to keep minorities from standing with us on illegal immigration.

To answer your question: people can march in the streets and demand whatever they want to (it is a free nation, and it won't collapse because of marchers!). They are not racist because the US is not a nation of any "one race". . .it is multi-racial, multi-cultural. To be honest, I see very little commotion on Yahoo Answers against undocumented aliens unless they are from Mexico or Central America. Seems like there is something wrong with this, doesn't it?

Many racist people don't want to see legal immigrations !! what should you call it ? so who is called "racist" he must said something racist .. not who is talking about illegal immigrations.

This also bothers me-I am far from being a racist , I want illegals to be sent to their own countries, If you are legal I welcome you to the USA.
