You're right. Kerry only claims to be a Catholic. If he really were he might know a thing or two about his faith. He would know that he gets "brownie points" for attending mass. But gets to go to hell for taking communion in such a grave state of sin. The end all be all reason for mass is not simply communion. I feel sorry for those folks who come in late, take their host and leave early. Boy, are they in for a rude awakening when they die.

With regards to Bush, do you mean his devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe? I find that interesting. But not necessarily Catholic. A lot of Protestants who study scripture eventually come to understand what Catholics see in Mary. It's happening more and more.

As I see it, in Kerry's eyes American politics are more important than Catholic morality, which is why he lost and will be the reason why he loses should he run and lose again.

At this point, however, it would be hard -not- to beat the republicans...

This is not true. George W. is one of those holier than thou Evangelical Christians, who are trying to change our Laws and Constitution to follow their viewpoints. They are scary!
