So my roomate and I got involved, which was already complicated enough. But we tried to make things work. We have so much fun together, we can talk about anything, and I just feel so good when I'm around him. The first time we kissed, he said there was no spark, and that it wasn't going to work. He also said he was scared because it's been awhile since he's been in a relationship. Is he just saying this because he's scared or does it all really come down to one kiss. I also feel that maybe our timing was wrong, but I don't know. I still want to try to make it work, but I don't think he does at all. Should I just give up completely?

It could be that he is worried about losing the roof over his head if it doesn't work. If you stay in the friend covey hole to long, then it could be like kissing your sister. It is the "I never really thought of you in that way...... excuse that I hear from women more than women hear from guys. Your question should not be, "Does it all come down to a kiss?" Your question should be, "How do I get out of the close relative mindset covey hole and how do I get in the list of possible love interest covey hole.

Remember... He is a guy. Don't dress in the bathroom after a bath, dress else where. Get something to drink while you have a towel wrapped around you and you can bump into him by accident while that way, the better off you are. Wear a little perfume around the house. Put a drop of your perfume on his pillow when he isn't looking. Flaunt your assets... All these things will go directly to his subconscious. How much physical contact have you had in your current relationship? Do you even sit on the same couch and watch TV together? Do you sit in separate chairs? Have you been living like a couple that has been married for 30 years? It takes time to switch gears.. Give him the incentive to shift.
