Take a big bite and then spit it everywhere yelling "this taste like dogshit". Fall on the ground and start rolling around like your on fire.

Different cultures have different principles on dining. In some countries, like Hungary, Germany, Holland, Spain, Switzerland and Ireland it is impolite to leave any food on your plate (don't do it!!) In countries like Greece having no food left on your plate signifies that you are satisfied.
In other countries, like Russia, China and Indonesia it is polite to leave a little bit of food on your plate to say that you're satisfied with the meal.

If the family holds any of these practices, I would suggest making sure that you finish or nearly finish your meal all the time. Generally in American undistinguished families I think it's pretty proper to try to finish everything on the plate.

I would suggest bringing them a small gift like baked goods- cookies, muffins, and apologizing for the unfinished meal. If you want to use an excuse such as not feeling well that is appropriate too.

It was very rude of your hostess to comment on the food you left on your plate (and to the person who said it was polite to leave a little food on your plate, you are wrong, that is called waste). You should drop the matter, and always say something polite about the food (but not too effusive because you don't want seconds).

Just tell them straight out. I really didn't like the flavor of the broccoli tonight. People need to stop sugar coating stuff and tell it like it is. If you have to lie to them then why bother socializing with them.

Actually, a well mannered person will not comment on what you do and don't leave on your plate. It is actually considered socially correct to leave a bit of food on your plate.

That's tricky. You don't want to hurt their feelings. Maybe just not mention it again.
