The dress for ladies ist o keep them covered to save their virtue, but this is more of a culture, rather than religious, argument or concept. However, Christians and Muslims do have something in common, as many of the beliefs, stories and peole that are part of Christianity are part of Islam, see Ibrahim for Abraham, and Gabriel is also mentioned in the Quran. In fact, Jesus is seen as a prophet of Islam. So, there is more in common than some idiots would have you believe!

You probably haven't seen them both from a close range. Nuns never cover their face. They wear a long dress and a head cover, but Islamic women have to wear "a sort of tent", as someone wrote.

Actually Islam tells Muslim women to wear a head scarf, nuns wear it to be religious, actually back in the dark ages the Head scarf for Catholic women was still there until like 10 years ago actually, for catholic women u had to wear a head scarf to church, don't no about now

Catholic women covered their hair only in church, they still do in some country's. Nuns committed their lives to Christ and his church and get dressed regarding to their convent rules.
Muslim-as are not to show any part of their body to men that are not family members. They should dress in a modest way.

what woman? my mother is a Catholic and she doesn't look like a nun. so is my wife...although if my wife dressed up as a nun it may be a turn on...
am I going to hell because I would be turned on by my wife in a nun's outfit?

They may look alike, and they do it for the same reasons, to dress conservatively. Unfortunately, muslims do it because their holy book says so. Catholics do it because they wish to. Islam and Catholicism have nothing in common.

Yes. Muslims and Catholics both honor the Virgin Mary above all women, and we both believe that she was ever virgin. Muslim women dress the way they do to model themselves after the modesty of the Virgin Mary.

yes....being faithfull to their families, taking care of their children, teaching children with good moral values, stand for what the quoran good words for muslim and bibles for christians, strong beliefs,determination to religions,mohammad for muslims and yahweh for christians, catholic christians wear veils also in church,,muslim always wear veils for distinctions,breastfeeding to babies, concentration in praying, and theres a lot more. i have many muslim friends, tho' im not a muslim, im a christian and we get along, the strong bond of friendship we have. i have a happy moments with the muslim. we do respect each other beliefs. and my muslim friends hates and condemned terrorism. muslims wants a quiet and peacefull life. and they said its besides the point referring to terrorism, its another sect of islam-muslim beliefs as they said.
