What makes the modern faiths - like the Abrahamics (Christianity, Islam), Buddism, Hinduism, etc - more believable/right and called "Religions" and the belief systems of ancient civilizations - like the ancient Romans, Norse, Egyptians, etc - called disproven and "Mythology"?

It is not a matter of correct or even belief but finance and power. I have met some of the top people in certain religions myself. I can tell you that most dont believe the general beliefs of their own religion. They feel those beliefs are for the general congregation who are not mature enough to handle the "real truth". I could and have told people in those religions what certain people said but they simply say I am making it up.
The bottom line is it has to do with economy. There is no economy in Norse or Egyptian beliefs. Even Constatine "converted" and changed most of the Romans to follow the newly formed Christian faith that was gaining popularity. He feared loosing people is loosing power and position. So he created his own christian type faith and state religion.
If you study certain religions today, you will find that a few were started by known con artist who were convicted and admitted their cons. However they continued and a modern religion was made. Now they are regarded as a legitimate religion and their founder's history is revised.

The old guys didn't keep their lease payments up, lost their storefronts and their customers. Let this be a lesson to the "newcomers". Advertise! And pay your bills!
Seriously, they probably foundered due to lack of a critical mythological event. If all you have is a creation story and some random feuds between deities, people can't stay excited. It's an endorsement of the status quo. You need a revolutionary moment, like an exodus, execution or exile. That makes people think they can change the world and gives them hope. Superior design wins.

I am a priestess of the great goddess, Isis. I would like to say that not all ancient religions have gone away. We are much smaller in numbers, but we have existed long before any other world religion. Thank you.

There's really no difference between modern religions and ancient religions. Many, many generations from now, Christianity and Islam will be considered mythology as well.

That is an open ended question that will only have the capacity to be answered philosophically. Until someone or some people come back from the "other side" and clue us in on the answer, we will be eternally asking your same question.

One needs to hearken to Jesus to locate the religion that listens to him---Jesus suggested-- shop on searching for first the dominion and his ( Jehovah) righteousness, and all would be extra. Or you will prepare info of certainty-- occasion ww2-- people who threw away the training of Jesus killed one yet another status on the two facets of the conflict-- the single faith that refused to kill one yet another via employing the training of Jesus went into the concentration camps and prisions with the intention to no longer kill one yet another status on the two facets of the conflict-- in case you won't be in a position to have faith those 2 realities you will never locate Jesus.

What makes em correct?? Only the "fact" that they SAY it's correct. All religion and gods are human creations....conjured up and designed to answer life's puzzling problems and questions.
Religion is as true as you want it to be. Or not.
