Play baby gift bingo. Give everyone a pencil and a paper with an empty bingo board drawn on. Then have each person fill in their game board with things that they think the new mommy will unwrap. Then as the new mommy unwraps the gifts the guests check off the items that they got correct. And either whoever gets bingo (all in a row) or whoever guessed the most items correct wins.

Here are the games we played at mine:

I made bead necklaces and we all got one when we arrived. Anytime you said baby and someone caught you, you would have to give your necklace to them. Who ever had the most necklaces at the end of the shower would get a gift.

Put baby items on a try like a diaper, pacifier, diaper pin, bottle etc. Give everyone paper and pencil. Slowly show the tray to everyone (liek 10-20 per person) Put the tray away and have people write down everything they could remeber that was on the tray. The person with the most get a gift

Have someone walk around with a ball of yarn and have each person cut how much yarn they think will go around the mom-to-be's tummy. WHen everyone is done, put the yarn around her tummy and cut the right length then measure everyones yarn to that one. The one that is the closest gets a gift.

Give everyone a piece of paper and a pencil. Tell them that they are gonna draw a baby and the mom-to-be will pick the best one but there is a catch: you have to draw the baby with the paper on your head. Give them 20 sec. Collect all pics and have the mom-to be show everyone each pic and choose the one she likes best.

When everyone comes in have them guess what the babies brithdate and weight is gonna be.

Have everyone sign a t-shirt or baby towel when they come in so the mom-to-be can frame the shirt and hang in the nursery.

Have everyone write a tip for the mom-to-be about parenting. Have the mom to be read them outloud.

Im not sure if these are common are not but hopefully they helped. Good Luck!

This one was a huge hit, I made a cute little page numbered 1-15, and decorated it with pictures of baby things...Then you hand a page to everyone there...The title is how well do you know mommy...And you ask questions like.
1. mommys full name
2. Mommys favorite food, while pregnant
3. Mommys Favorite tv show
4. Is mommy breastfeeding?
5. Whats the one thing that makes mommy throw up every time?

things like that, we did a unisex party so you could ask how long have mommy and daddy been together and things like that...

The one with th emost correct answers wins! The mom loved reading all the answers and how well people DONT know her!
ha ha ...no one got it 100% right! not even her husband!hahahaha

Also, our family is notorious for being late so we got a gag gift for the last one to arrive....Which was 2 hours late!

i dont know how common this one is, but its great for the mommy: everytime you hear someone say "baby" they have to put all their change in a special jar for the baby.

another fun one, as each person shows up, you give them a clothespin and tell them to put it on their shirt. Then when they are all there, you tell them that every time they catch someone sitting with their legs crossed, they get to take that persons clothes pin. at the end, the person with the most clothes pins gets a prize

Take the fun sized candy bars, melt them in the mircowave, & put them in diapers. 1 type of candy in each diaper. The game is to guess the type of candy or candy bar in each diaper. It looks like poop & can be very hard to guess correctly. The candy bars we used were: Milky Way, Chunky, Kit Kat, Snickers, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, & 3 Musketeers. You can use different types of candy & have fun with it!

Hey,
I know my mom did this one at my sister's baby shower....She took a diaper and cut it in half, and then she would put a piece of chocolate in it, and melt it in the microwave....And make people stick their finger in it and taste it and guess what kind of chocolate it was, it was kinda funny....Whoever got it right, got a prize... Hope, I help, Good Luck!!!

I have n clue if this is common but at mine we blind folded the guests and they each had a turn trying to pick up as many cotton balls as possible with a metal spoon. You can't feel the cotton balls so its really funny to watch them scooping air and thinking that they put it in the bowl!!! Have fun!!!

We had lots of different varieties of baby food in jars (labels removed) and people had to guess what they were.

That may not be very original though... I'm not sure.
