Stupid question and should not be on the question board. However, to satisfy you, dogs have spirits just as much as people and will testify for or against us in the final judgment. That being said, abortion for a dog is just as bad as abortion for people. However, since there is no dog that makes the conscious decision to have an abortion but is victimized by the people that control her, the only people being punished for the abortion will be the dog's controller. The dog still goes to heaven blameless while the owner will have to answer for the animal cruelty and loss of life inflicted upon the dog. Since no dogs have been admitted into the Catholic Church, or any other church for that matter, it is specious to ask about excommunication. You can't be removed from something you don't belong to in the first place.

I think if they found out, she would. There is also a big reason for her to go to confession if she didn't get married and ended up needing one.
