Why does People think that churches begs for money? My Church that I attend when they Pray before the offering says Bless those that are able to give and Bless those that are not able to give. It's demanded in the Bible that you give 10 percent of your earnings to God and the Church to help the church out with finances and other stuff. It's shows you care about Gods word and God's people and to matian your church. If a Church won't accept you because you don't have money then they aren't teaching the right doctrine of Faith and teachings of Jesus Christ.

I must add that I had gotten married into a Bible Church with my husband 4 years ago. They took 150 dollars from us because my parents and my husband wanted to give the pastor that married us a gift to say Thank you for marrying us. Also I got baptised in that same Church for free.

The widow lady in the bible gave 2 pennies offering. Jesus commented that she gave more than those who put more pennies in (yet less than 10%). Why. Because she gave more that 10% of her increase.
Of course she knew that God gives back. So, I am sure that God met all her needs according to His riches in Glory.
The tithe (10%) & offering is part of obeying God. So there is bread in the house of the Lord. And should be given with a joyful heart, for this is what pleases God. And God promises to pour out a blessing.
Also, paying or not paying a tithe, will not make a Christian more righteous than when person was first saved with sins washed away by the blood of the Lamb. When a person is saved, person is made the righteousness of Christ. Person doesn't pay a tithe to be more righteous. Person pays a tithe because person has put on the righteousness of Christ (Covered by the Blood).
Christian doesn't pay a tithe because some one is begging for money. Christian pays a tithe out of thanksgiving & obedience to God.

I agree with most of what you say, except for the Bible demanding that we give 10 percent to the church.
There is no such demand in the Bible. Some poeple chose to do that, in the old testament, but it's was never required of Christians.
Christians are simply expected to contribute to the support of the church, because it is a good and loving thing to do.
No specific amount or percentage is required, though.
Any "rule" to the contrary constitutes a false tradition, and need not be observed.

Tithing...you give ten percent of your earnings or of your time...you are called to give the back the physical gifts bestowed upon you in life. If you can not give money then you should give your time and your talents to further the community of Christ.
I do, however have problems with parishes that are money generating machines...in which they bestow the clergy with gifts of gold and other earthly possessions, they create more for the church than for the community...these churches (televangelists included) turn Faith into a business...this is the time Jesus would turn loose in the market place...
So it is up to you to know how much to give and if you are giving an appropriate tithe...but making Faith and God's Word a place to make a profit is an abomination and a breeding place of sin.

Churches aren't begging for money and 10 percent is not a biblical requirement for tithing.
The reason for money requests vary per church and per denomination. One Protestant church raised 75 million to buy a football stadium to hold services in. My own church raised close to 10 thousand for Katrina relief.
God does not bless people based on how much money they have. But there are Protestant denominations who insist you only know for certain you are saved when you are rich. Which is against biblical teaching.
Ah well...

yes we are to give an offering but its not demanded.
Under the Law of Moses, the Jews were required to pay a tithe (a tenth). In this Law, Israelites were required to give to God one tenth of all their produce and animals. This could be either an actual tenth of the possessions or a sum of money equaling the value of one tenth of the possessions plus a fifth. The things and money that were given as tithes were given to the Levites as a source of income. The Levites were also required to pay tithes, which were given to the high priest. Since Christians are not under the law of Moses we are not required to pay a tithe. Although, we do have new testament examples of FREE WILL offerings to help needy saints.

The One True God is Creator and Possessor of all worlds, He does not need our money.
Our contributions to churches are means to serve ourselves (such as building houses for our collective gathering for learning and sharing spiritual experiences) and serve other people (for dissemination of the divine teachings). If you don't see any good use of that money, I don't think anybody can punish you for not contributing.
Since contribution is a spiritual privilege, so some churches don't accept contributions from non-believers and from sinful believers to avoid the bad influence of money.

What many human beings don't realize is that the only entity that is the richest contained in the international isn't bill Gates, the Sultan of Brunei, or the Queen of england. that is the Roman Catholic Church. The church needs money so as that it may use it to help its challenge and impact contained in the international. often times they call this god's artwork.

i think that Some churches know how to waste their '10 percent' of money that the people of the church hand over every week, using Thousands of dollars to put a decorative cross on top of the building or buy an expensive anything decorative to put in the yard of/ or IN the church building. so i think giving money directly to charity is BETTER than contributing to a 'pretty' church building.

If you attend a church that solely wants your money then that is not a church of Christ, not all churches "beg" for money, it is tradition that you are to give 1/10th of your earnings, and GOD understands those who cannot give due to their circumstance. If your church does not accept you then maybe you are attending the wrong church.

The church "begs" for money because it's the only way that it supports itself. I have never seen or been to a church that wouldn't accept someone because they didn't have anything to put in the plate.
