The prescription should have come with a list of warnings included in the bag (or maybe even on the bottle). If it says not to have alcohol, then don't. It's not a suggestion, it's a true warning.

You've got a nasty condition, you're on intense medicine to deal with it.

I'm sure your body will really thank you for pouring a poison into it tonight.

Hell drink all you want, just go private for your lupus treatment from now on. If you're not going to look after yourself I'd rather you didn't waste the money I've paid into the NHS anymore.

Laura, listen to what the 'wise' among the answerers are saying to you; the safest course when you are on medication of any sort, is not to drink alcohol. Give your body a chance to heal, just stick to mineral water or fruit-juice. Don't worry about 'street-cred', your true friends will never see it that way.
Hope you get better soon.

certainly not a good idea to drink while on steroids as for the Lupus diagnosis I would avoid alcohol too as it will tire you further and hinder your health

If you don't know, don't. Alcohol is an irritant. Corticosteroids are anti-infamatory. Ask your doctor.

Probably best to check with your doctor first.

sure, why not? it's a world of free will, do what makes you happy. seriously, why do you feel the need to drink? it would seem the answer is obviously no.
