the most famous of them all has to be Manhattan than mint julep and if you really get bored than maybe your should try to sip your bourbon with just one ice cube. This helps you enjoy the bourbon. Yes i think Makers Mark is okay bourbon. But there are many different bourbons out there. You should try to widen your selection. Alright good luck and happy drinking.

My favorite Bourbon at the moment is Wild Turkey 101, but I like most Bourbons. I always say that bourbon (or any whiskey) shouldn't be mixed, cut, or on the rocks. It should be had straight.

Straight up is best IMHO, but if you must mix...
- Jack and Coke (fairly obvious)
- Basil Hayden and ginger ale (BH's heavy rye content adds crispness)
- Booker's and cold spring water (127 proof, needs to be cut)
- Mint Julep (famous bourbon drink, many recipes on the net)
- Bottle in the freezer for cold shots later

Makers Mark is by far the best on the common market. I occassionally mix mine with Cranberry juice or lemonade. Mostly I drink it with Coke or sweet and sour.
