Ok, I think it depends on how many hours a week you are watching him. Because if you have him 10 hours a day 5 days a week, thats 50 hours!! If you charged $125.00 a week, that means that you are making $2.50 an hour...uh....no. Thats just crazy. I would charge at least 5-8 an hour. Also, how any children are in your care? Will he have one on one with you all day or do you have 10 kids in your home. That is a big deciding factor too. Day cares can get away with charging 125 a week for 50 hours of care because the child will be in a classroom of at least 10 other children. Also, factor in the cost of food, it does add up, how many meals are you serving them? How much milk will they go through? Also, do you have things to keep him occupied? Will you have to go buy those materials?

It depends on the parents, really. You could do a pay scale depending on how much they make. The people above me saying $70/week must not realize that this only amounts to about $1.50/hour. Not to mention that you'd most likely be giving this child three meals/day plus snacks. Also, with a two year old running around, there would be extra laundry (because eventually he/she would do something that warrants a changing and washing of clothes or other items). If you are doing this for a friend with a low income, then I would think at LEAST $100/week. That's very generous considering that a licensed day care would charge about 3 times that much for those hours.

It depends on where you live. I live in a rural area and the average charge here would be $25/day for an 8 hour day and then $5.00/hour extra. But if it is a 4 day work week then a flat fee of $120.00 would be sufficient. Unless it includes a weekend day and they are more expensive and it is up to on how much your time is worth on the weekend. I always did a "trial" run when starting new children to make sure they "fit-in" with my other children and that the child and I were compatible. It is not good for the child if your place is not where they are going to be happy either. So, the "trial" was just as much for their parents as it was for me :-) I hope this helped.. PS I am a nurse gone house-mom/caregiver

I would say about 75 to 100 dollars a week, since you have the child more than the parents do and you are providing the child's food.

I have 2 younger siblings near that age and there a handful also if your paying for the food.
I'd say 100-150 would be fair for that meny hour's and 80-100 for food.
Maybe more
