Would hibernate for the winter either way - cannot do with getting up on cold, dark mornings - I could stuff my face all summer and would lose it all in the winter.

My wife and I were on the phone and she told me about this question and said it was perfect for me to answer.
YES!! All I do is sleep when I can. We'll be watching TV together and if I'm tired or bored, I fall asleep. We take naps toghether which is great to me cause I love having her face the last thing I see, and first thing I see when I wake up. I am king of sleep. I'll have the bedroom light on, the fan on high, and the TV on with the volume way up to hear, intending to watch the program, and the next thing you know she's waking me up for me to take my contacts out and brush my teeth! I fall asleep in a matter of seconds and can sleep through anything! So, technically, I already do hibernate, but it would be nice to get the longer life, so my life doesn't bass me by from sleeping so much!

Absolutely not! If the average age of a woman, let's say, is 78, why would I want to live until I'm 156? I would outlive all my children, grandchildren, relatives and friends.
In the six months of hibernation, I would be missing out on being with all the people I love. I would rather die when I'm supposed to and enjoy each day to the fullest.

Who'd employ you for half a year at a time? Although it could, properly handled, turn out to be one of the best tax avoidance dodges ever devised if you hibernated in a country other than the one you worked in!

Hmmm...that is an amazing thought! I would defiantly wouldn't though. When you hibernate, first you have to eat as much dirt, leaves, mud, and gunk as possible. You do that so you don't just use the restroom while you are sleeping. Also, imagine how bad you would smell, and how horrible you would feel the next day when you have to go to bed? In my opinion, don't try and do it.

Oh hell yeah.
I would hibernate through the summer and come back out in the winter.
I hate the summer. All hot and sweaty and sticky and uncomfortable.
Love the winter.

I can tell you this, my husband certainly would. Hibernation is his middle name. Whenever there is nothing doin, my husband just falls asleep from boredom or takes a nap bcause he can and he just loves sleep that much!
