Yes,I'm invisible when my husband's around! My daughter clings to him and demands all of his attention. Since my husband works so much,he usually gives in! It's cute, she corners him in her room and doesn't let him out until they've read every book in her room, heard all of her cd's and played with all of her toys and--cleaned it all up. I think it's great to see them spending quality time together. I also enjoy the time to myself. I'm usually busy cooking, cleaning or exercising but it's my time!!
Enjoy it while you can because the attention will eventually revert back to you!

Yes, daughters are usually drawn to their daddies. Boys usually kling to the mommies. Also, and don't be upset if you are this way, mom's are usually more the disciplinarian in the family, at least most of the families I know. The daddy comes home from work and plays with the kids. Moms have to clean, cook, do laundry, teach the kids manners and their ABC's, give them the nasty tasting medicine when their sick, those sort of things. Don't worry, it all evens out. When she grows up, she'll be your best friend.

My brother currently and I used to be very very very attached to my father. Its completely natural and there is NOTHING to worry about. Its a stage that occurs in small children and shell grow out of it too. You shouldnt interfere or that might actually cause abnormal stage to occur where , iv seen it happen, shell grow up to cling to her father and not have much connection with her mother. Just leave it alone and everything will be fine :)

Though its true to a great extent that daughters r more attached to their fathers....but this factor also should'nt be ruled out....that is...father is staying out of home for a longer time and so kids have this feeling that he may leave home again...and so they want to stay with their father for as much time as possible.
This is what i have experienced with by 2 and a half year old dolly.
Thanks.

It's just because you are always around and he is not. If you were working, and he was staying home, it would be the opposite. Little girls feel very strongly about their father. He makes them feel safe and protected. It's a security that mom's can't replace......which is the main reason for the hootchie epidemic nowadays but that's another story.
I think girls start out needing their dad's more, then change when they are older, and need their mom's more. Don't worry about a thing!!

Your daughter probably just feels this way because she is with you all day and not her dad. It seems normal. The best thing is for you two to do something special together after he leaves and when he comes home-- for them to do something special together.
You spend all day with her and her dad probably only sees her a little bit every day. So it seems only natural that she would cling to him when he is there

Awww well maybe it's because she doesnt see her dady on the mornings. Don't get sad, picture how sad it'd be if your daughter hated her dad.
So just enjoy it, enjoy that you also have a husband who loves you and your daughter.
And yes girls tend to get more attach to dads.
That was not my case, i didnt like my dad holding me for no reason.

My daughter is very attached to her father! He worked from home the first year or so after she was born (I was home too) so that makes it really bad! *L* She prefers him over me....which is good now that he goes to the office everyday...I need a break. :)

Don't do anything. Little girls are VERY attached to their fathers. The best thing is not to let her know if it upsets you.
