Good question sir! Had this been at heavyweight, I probably would have picked Moorer. I believe that Bob Foster was one of the all time greats at Lgt Heavyweight and could really punch! Moorer would have given him some difficulty at first as a southpaw and with his quick hands but Foster would have kept him at bay with crisp hard jabs. In about round 7 Foster hits Moorer witha perfiect right hand for the 10 count.

Great question! Michael Moorer was a killer at light-heavy! So was Foster. This would've come down to which one could take the other one's punch better and maybe if Foster has a little trouble with Moorer's southpaw style. Hard one to pick but i'll say Moorer because he was stronger at light heavy than Foster and he was a southpaw. Tough question to answer!

Two destroyers at light heavy. This would be an entertaining fight. I don't know if Foster ever fought a southpaw, but I don't think it would matter. Foster's greatness and experience wins out in this fight. Moorer has been knocked down numerous times and knocked out. I believe Foster catches him with a crisp left hook and knocks Double M out in round 4, after an entertaining and busy 4 rounds of boxing. Good question Lizardhead.

This fight was at 175? Foster wins at that weight.

In all honesty my good man, unlike Moorer, Bobby Foster never actually moved up...he simply moved out! Bobby's chin never allowed him the ability to be able to beat any of the half decent heavyweights that he fought. But for the purposes of your question, that's irrelevant.

Foster was one of the most lethal punchers in ring history. He could KO you with either hand. And although his chin was not capable of withstanding the punches of credible fellow pugilists who weighed in, in excess of 175, his fist were still capable of felling heavier them. During his fight with Ali in 1972, Foster who weighed in at 180-182 to Ali's 220-222, hurt Ali several times during the fight and actually holds the distinction of being the only fighter to ever cut Muhammad.
Personally, I believe the 175 pound Foster who like Tommy Hearns is what I call freakish in his ability to be so tall, so thin, but so powerful would have stopped Moorer, before Moorer could stop him.

Moorer would win this. Too strong. When Foster moved up, he got KO'd. Twice.
When Moorer moved up, he won the heavyweight title. Twice.
