Well by just arrived, does that mean you are here on a temp Visa?

My husband is from London, he came here on a temp Visa and then we got married. Your best bet is to contact an immigration lawyer.

Please, do it legally.

You can't legally work unless you are
a)a student and work part-time on the university campus OR hold a valid student visa and permission to do OPT

b) working as part of the bunac programme

c) sponsored by a US employer and holding an appropriate work visa

d) a permanent resident of the United States (through marriage or some other means)

e) running your own business and in possession of an investors visa

If you're not working legally, well, have fun being deported and barred from re-entering the US.

My husband is English, we were married in London, and moved here in 2003, he has a greencard now. It was very expensive and a lot of paperwork to get him a work permit.
