Do you think he likes me?

Question

Ok, I keep seeing this guy in the lift at work. Its only a minute or so and then I have to get out. But its a daily occurance and we've started chatting, the other day he said I looked exotic. I smiled and ran out of the lift.

The next time I saw him he apologised for saying it and I said thats ok, then I got out of the lift, I saw him today and he said I look pretty in my outfit. Then again, had to get out of the lift!

We only ever see each other in the lift! Ive seen him once outside as I walked past, but I did notice out of the side of my eye that he looked at me

Now heres the problem, his mates are always in the lift with him.

So I really dont know if he is having a laugh at my expense with his mates.

His mates dont look at me when Im talking to him and none of them ever say a single word.

I dont want to offer him my number as I never see him on his own and I dont want to go to his floor as obviously everyone would see.

Should I just leave this to fate?

I think that you should leave it up to fate but sometimes fate needs a little boost. The guy probably wouldn't compliment you at all if he wasn't looking in the first place. I would try to get into a little bit more of a conversation that the way you look that day. I would strike up a conversation about what he watched on television the night before, or ask him if he caught a certain program on the night before. Start with something like that until you can work up to movies and figuring out his hobbies and then find a movie you both would like and then ask him out to a movie. If you are an old-fashioned gal then think of a general reason for him to get you number and then if he calls he definatly likes you. Most guys won't go out of their way to do something unless they like the girl. Hope this helps! Good Luck girl!

Many of times, it's extremely hard to tell if a guy likes you or not. I would suggest not doing anything right now... just wait a bit. If he really likes you, my guess is that he will ask you out eventually. Give him some time.

If time goes on and he is still flirting with you but doesn't ask you out (you'll know in your heart if it's been too long), I would then spend some time with him outside of the lift, such as having lunch together. Just a friendly event.

You can leave it to fate, but then fate may leave you empty handed. It really is one of two things. He likes you and to a small degree had enough courage to tell you via a complement. Or he is just fooling with you along with his buddies. You didnt state that they giggle or laugh when you are around so in my eyes it looked like their silence is due to the fact that they are giving him the chance to do his part in letting you know that he likes you. Yes, he does like you, to what degree, youll have to find out. From the looks of the situation it seems that he is shy and that it took alot of courage for him to complement on your looks. Return the favor next time and begin small talk. Eventually you two will go out if you play your cards right.

I am not bothered to get a best answer of this but i wanted a girl to make a right decision in life.

There are many reasons behing him speaking to you in the lift and giving you a compliment.This might not be a sign of love. I never say that he doesnt love you as it is not in our hands.

I suggest you to go a head and speak to him. Because if he really likes you, he will not give you a chance to offer your number. he will readily give his number to you as soon as you speak to him. Its mens' nature.

Secondly you never open up to him that you have observed signs of love in him. just make friends with him and be as normal as you are. Never give him any kind of special treatment to him nor avoid him.

His mannerisms and his words make you to understand whether you can trust him or not. Moreover if he has interest in you he will give you all that special treatment and will try to impress you in most aspects.

And coming to his friends, you need not bother about them as the olden days have gone. Please donot come to a wrong conclusion by rushing up. No changes can be observed immediately.

Hmm tricky...try to find out his name...does he have a badge or ask around. Then go to reception and find out his contact details if you can or leave him a message asking him to meet you at another time for coffee or something. Hopefully you can become good friends with him and mybe something will happen. If you really think he might be laughing at your expense then ignore him, you're too good for him!
