Your real hair is going to be in there but most of it will be covered up. However the hair around the crown of your head, and the sides will still be visible.

I am afraid of great lengths because of the glue. I have been thinking about getting some microring hair extensions but I am worried about the comfort.

Take a look at this forum. It is very helpful when it comes to hair extensions. Click on "Hair Talk" then scroll down until you find "Hair Extensions" sort of in the middle of the list. http://www.hairboutique.com

If you have frizzy hair then it might look a little fake. If I wear you, go get a fresh hair cut and tell them to layer it and thin out your hair.
Since the hair extensions are going to be long, you want it to look not as noticeable.
Use a deep conditioner on your hair before you do extensions also, because you won't be able to wash your hair as often (not everyday).
That's my opinion, now go do it and tell me how it works out for you.
