I've found several programs that have allowed me to run free scans. Is there any programs that have free virus removals? I used to have an anti-spy program installed but it somehow got uninstalled. The free scans I've run said I have over 700 infections.....what should I do?

Several. You can search http://www.download.com, or try http://www.spybot.com for a good one.

I use Adaware(lavasoft), AVG (grisoft), and the Norton that comes with the yahoo toolbar. I run them from time to time, and have found that they don't always catch the same thing. So I keep all of them, and rotate them on a regular basis.

AVG will rid you of almost all problems, completely free.
Spybot S&D (search and destroy) will get rid of any spyware you have, for free.
