I have a suggestion... use a spoon or 2 full of the canned... add a bit of water till its the consistency of "gravy" and pour it over her dry food... slowly decrease how much and how often you do this until "gravy" is just an occasional treat, and she is eating dry on its own.

Yes, slowly working it into a full dry food is the best way to do it with your dog. You may have to do it over a month or so.
Have you considered checking with your vet and seeing if maybe he/she can suggest a particular dry food that might be more appealing to your dog? This might help in the transition to dry if it's something she'll really like.

You answered your own question.
Yes, start with a mix that is more soft food than dry, and then each day shift the mix a little more toward the dry side.
And don't "cave in" this time, or the dog will never respect you.

that is probally what I would do, kind of ease her away from it, or just give her a dry saltine cracker everyday with the dry dog food (make sure she still eats the dog food though) , and praise her when she eats the dog food, I hope this helps

Wean her down from the wet food.
Put less and less in every day until you are maybe putting in only a teaspoon, then try stopping completely again.

I have two goldens and they have been on dry.....Try mixing in some chicken (cooked) and eventually remove that. The dog will eat when its hungry.

Yeah, you should. By slowly weaning her off, she still gets what she's used to, and she'll be more accustomed to getting less and less wet food.

I was reading your question, and thought about the same thing. You answered your own question, in my opinion. Definately mix the two, and slowly wing her off. You are right!!!!! Good job! hee hee.
