just like your body changes over time, your allergies change. I've heard once that your allergies change every 7 years, don't know if it's true or not

The reason you are allergic to cats now is because your immune system sees them as a threat. It reacts by releasing hystemine into the blood stream to battle the threat and that makes you unwell.. More and more people are developing allergies and it seems to be a modern phenonomen.. Its not quiet known why this is happening but some scientists believe its because we are becoming too clinicly clean. We are not exposing ourselfs to bacteria which helps to develop immunity so our bodys are now finding innocent things like cats and other plants and animals as threats.

You have to be exposed to something at least one time for your body to produce anitboties toward that substance. Your body can build up antiboties immediatly or over a period of time. once your body has built up these antiboities and then your are introduced to the same substance you become allergic.

There is no rhyme nor reason to why allergies develop often. But now that you have the allergies, you'll need to decide how to deal with them.
