I am going to be switching from windows me to xp pro?

I was woundering if i needed to install the drivers before or after i install the new os. thanks

Install the OS first. Then the drivers.

Hint: I do NOT recommend "upgrading". Backup all your files to an external device first. Then format the drive and install XP fresh.

You will preserve years of problems if you simply upgrade.

windows xp includes lots of drivers for almost every peice of hardware. You install the drivers after xp is installed if by chance xp doesnt come with the drivers for that particular peice of hardware.
